Sendai Area Pass + Sendai Marugoto Pass

What you get

Two Sendai passes on one official site: the visitors-only Sendai Area Pass (1 day, ¥1,420) and the Sendai Marugoto Pass (2 days, ¥2,930, open to everyone). Both cover JR lines around Sendai, the airport line, the subway, city buses and the Loople Sendai bus.

Non-Japanese passport and temporary visitor status required.

Timeline

The Area Pass price is ¥1,420 under JR East's March 2026 fare revision; the joint pass website has been slow to update and may still show the old ¥1,320. Marugoto child price ¥1,470.

Who can use it

The Sendai Area Pass is for overseas visitors with a non-Japanese passport. The Sendai Marugoto Pass is open to everyone, including residents. Check eligibility on the official source before booking.
